Gave it a chance. Denzel could pull off the middle age Equalizer; Latifah not so much. And yes because she's a woman. The only advantage a woman can have in a fight besides skill is speed and Latifah carrying all that weight just can't pull it off. Besides the show is hella ( the stupid slang nowadays is mortifying ) boring and the rap music is as always atrocious noise. I never saw the original show so cant compare but the movies ( primarily the first one ) had a certain allure with Denzel on his own. This is a strictly by the numbers yawnfest. Though I watched Latifah outrunning a bomb just for laughs. Avoid at all costs.
