The first Equalizer was excellent as Robert Woodward was older so it was more of a cerebral show than action-packed. I watched the first episode of this reboot with Queen Latifah and although it's not a bad show, it's nothing special. Now she has some former CIA co-workers, a husband & wife duo, to help her out. One is an IT super-specialist and the other is a sniper. In this premiere offering, the Queen single-handedly disables four armed thugs. The way they shot and edited the sequence was telling that she is too old and out-of-shape to be believable as an action star. Like so many other TV shows and movies, just because a person is former military and covert CIA it doesn't mean they are automatically a one-person wrecking crew. With just this small sample size the acting was okay but the plot was nothing we haven't seen before. Maybe they'll have some original plots in future episodes. Otherwise, I don't see this lasting more than a season or two.
