1st off, supposing you are correct about kongs age back for that event (which is now a classic and was rebooted with Skull Island so it cannot be the case anymore. in other words, nice try but still...) BUT even if the reboot didn't happen and u are correct still; Kong still ages and grows [bigger/taller] like every other living thing that has existed on our big blue ball of water n dirt.... so even IF ur correct and also the franchises were uninterrupted by Legendary Ent and Warner Bros. IT WOULDNT CHANGE THE FACT THAT KONG WOULD HAVE STILL GROWN AT LEAST A TINY BIT TALLER IN THESE DECADES (NOTICEABLE FOR SURE EVEN IF U DISREGARD A FILM UNIVERSE (idk why the hell anyone would disregard physics as you recommend I do.... for some reason[?]...
so
2nd, comprehending any universe's systems/functions is vital for both fiction and non. That should be somewhat obvious too but in case not; let's pretend u & I are talking about physics in reality because you are writing a screenplay yourself based on historical events (that only happened in this universe but nobody knows that obviously); you are filming an epic action scene, but no surprise, action scenes will rely entirely on how physics work both in reality for u and also how physics work in the film's verse. Why? Let's imagine the scene is a gunfight from the other film I'm doing another review/comparison on: SNOWPIERCER (science fiction (a movie + ongoing tv series I DO recommend by the way). One of that films scenes has an epic gun dual on a fictional super train (my term) which is making a MASSIVE tight turn while going at least 300-400mph easy, and both men are on opposite ends of the turn/train's cars, one firing a military looking M4a1 Rifle (semi and automatic fire modes, only has 2-3 (MAYBE 4?) magazines total which contains 30 bullets each mag (those are gun facts btw... I'm pretty sure). His target is at the front end side and he is at the tail end side, and once guy#2 takes incoming fire pelting the double-plated windows (aka bullet-proof) from guy#1, guy#2 turns to face the direction of gunshots for a brief moment then rushes to take cover against the walls of that train car, and readies his own gun (I'm far less knowledgeable about this one but I'll call it a Scorpion SMG (aka Sub-Machine Guns; also semi & automatic but takes a smaller caliber round (bullet) and I'm sure has a smaller magazine capacity too (also the # of bullets guy#2 has is one of my review rant issues for that film ftr; he has as many as the plot requires he needs it seems (another concept others like u have suggested I not take so seriously for w/e illogical reasons) ANYWAYS........ so they're both taking turns basically, one guy unloads a mag of bullets (1st being guy#1 with a rifle + 3 clips of 30 and switched to fully automatic (so it spits a bullet out immediately as the trigger is squeezed and continues nonstop until one of two things happens: either he fires all 30 rounds in about 3-4 or so seconds OR he releases his trigger squeeze so the gun stops as well. either way, when guy#1 stops to reload, guy#2 takes advantage; his stance goes from having his back up against the wall so his ass is facing his enemy and he has his SMG loaded/cocked (means a mag is ready to fire) and his right elbow is bent, forcing the basic/common stance, the gun barrel pointing up at the ceiling but inches from your face with safety toggled ON until he is ready to aim. The vomit of gunshots from the M4a1 suddenly stops - his mag is dry (empty) so guy#2 must reload but has no wall for cover like #1 does (and #2 has a kind of bounty hunter style about him so he just stands there, reloading clips) guy#1 takes a quick deep/partial breath, then pushes himself away from the wall and so that he is now looking out the window with his right arm extended straight to aim the SMG (his left arm could be aiding his aim... but he isnt thinking that now; he's calculating how he is going to hit his moving target which is about a mile distance and with a smaller bullet than what is coming at him.
SO I've just established ALOT but all of what I said I felt was necessary info for the audience to comprehend what is about to come, otherwise, bad reviews expected!
SO!
The entire situation has several things wrong with it. This is fine for the casual moviegoer like yourself (no offense, as I'm also included in that description lol) however the same situation would NEVER NEVVVVER work if it were real life - and why? why is one accepted just fine but the other verse flat out rejects it? (this is getting lengthy so imma skip ahead now, msg me if u want to hear more of it tho). In short, shooting at something as far as that would mean you would have to actually plan ahead and do what is called 'LEADING THE TARGET' which has you aim the gun AHEAD of your [moving+distanced] target so that the bullet will meet the target ONCE it has traveled the vastness between both targets (as I said, they were about a mile or more apart so the shots have to first pass that mile[+] before getting to the other side of the train where his target is) understand? it's pretty basic logic I think... but THAT RIGHT THERE is why movie physics are NOT something to be ignored like you suggested. Guy#1 only has so many bullets, yet he is firing each mag like he pisses lead for the gun until he's out of bullets FOREVER (as this films plot says) Forcing himself to continue forward thru each train section (I wanna recommend again that film if u havent seen it, it has problems sure but its issues doesn't detract from the scenes being epic as fk. SNOWPIERCER (movie > tv I think).
lol so ya that is my reply to why I WILL NEVER disregard physics of any verse. Physics MATTER, like Oxygen or Water to humans'; they matter even if they may not be obvious to the untrained eye. It's all concepts not to be taken lightly during something like living ur life or watching a fictional film.
understand? holy crap that was ALOT, I'm sry for the length...... kinda. xD |
