You can only do so much with a show that hinders on the fact that it's "woke"- it essentially tries too hard to check all of the diversity boxes as if it's desperate to scream "LOOK HOW MUCH MORE WOKE I AM THAN THE ORIGINAL." And the plot is predictable (very paint-by-numbers storytelling filled with stock characters).
The only shining part is the all-star cast. Jared, Lindsay, etc. are all great but the fact is that the script lacks true heart, genuine depth, and sincerity.
