Many of us are still mourning Nora Ephron and her wonderful writing. It has been only four years since her passing and it still hurts. Thanks to this show, Nora lives on through her character.
The script in its entirety is stellar; kudos to writer Dana Calvo. The cast is well chosen, and it is ironic to watch Grace Gummer, as Ephron, revisit one of the most acclaimed portrayals of her iconic mother, Meryl Streep, twenty years after Heartburn.
If a pilot is a question mark for where we go from here, our hopes are high after watching this outstanding recreation of the era of sexual revolution, rock'n'roll and drugs, in 1969 New York City, while this group of talented women works hard in order to break all the men's rules in the newsroom.
