One of Canada's teams place in second and gets almost no screen time. Second place and no screen time. Probably not enough drama or sob stories for entertainment. People get injured, but we are given no update. The leaderboard is not shown. Teams get trapped in the ocean with an incoming storm. Sorry, you're screwed. Top team in first place capsizes? Sure. We'll get you a new canoe so you can still finish first.
But seriously. If you can't find time to feature all the teams, especially one who consistently in the top 6, why bother having that many teams?
