The father is one of the best movies of 2020
I was lucky to see it during Cairo international film festival inside Cairo opera house
The movie have 2 important points
Firstly of course the great performance specially bu sir Anthony Hopkins and I think he has a good chance to win his second Oscar
Secondly the way of narrative was great as we watch the movie by the eye of old man with divagation , we don't know what we see is real or not , this help us to understand the the idea of the movie
If we talk about oscars I think this movie deserves nominations in : the leading actor, adaptation screenplay, best picture, supporting actress for Olivia Colman
score 8/10
