Whilst some will not love Moonbase 8, this gem deserves as much of a chance as possible, two episodes in and I was already squeeling and laughing with delight of seeing Tim Heideckers character struggle with his shortcomings and loving everyone's tightly tuned performances. It comes from years and years of these guys working together and knowing each other's comedic tics and seeing where something funny can take the scene. With Jonathon Krisel at the helm, John C. Reilly's "Cap" grounding the story perfectly and Eric Wareheim serving as a producer... this is gold for any fan of the 'Abso-Lutely' universe and should be great enough to get under the skin of a newcomer to the comedic art of how these guys work. This show, sadly... may be too edgy or different from generic comedies to survive, however if the stars align... we might be lucky with the ratings and we might see more seasons of this great show with so much potential to grow and flourish. It has so much heart and Tim Heidecker gets another great chance to show his range beyond just comedy, he knows how to switch on and be real as an performer and that's one of many keys that give this show energy and magic. Please watch this show, and watch as much as you can, it gets its legs and the funny grows and continues to grow. I love it and hope you will too.
