Iain & Dawn have big followings.
Iain Glen always good, looks much older than his 54-55 in 2016.
Dawn French 58-59 in 2016, appropriate for Glen. Always a delight. Loved Absolutely Fabulous (writer), with Jennifer (writer actor) with Joanna.
I am happy to see her 112 lbs. lighter- much healthier- says she's 200 lbs for 5 feet-that's still pretty rotund. she looks her age but always pretty. Still has charm.
I am not an ageist especially being a baby boomer myself. and am happy to see it's not all about 20-30 somethings. Even a love interest in late 70s- 80- Franco Nero.
but I have some problems with the plot l lines.
this is not a spoiler. they made Dawn's daughter- tall and very thin, have a super rare allergy- to water-yes it exists- 32 people in the world. It is horrible. any contact, tears, sweat, says it seems to be only on outside skin. but drinking, bathing is painful 24/7, and causes rashes and red blisters. effects movement and energy. Constant pain. They give her a very, very rare, impossible to live with disease that has visible effects in normal living. but she seems fine, "normal" hang ups fights with Dawn, eating disorder. just stay out of the rain, water, and she says showers 1X a week cold water. The temperature of the water, makes no difference; No matter how purified. I would have to guess, not only is it rare, but surviving to 20 is even more rare.
so she is upset, lies in a bath, and goes into anaphylactic shock. (maybe not the right symptoms) but there are no rashes or blisters (in shorts & short sleeve) why pick this strange disease that would make life really painful and sad. Than portray it incorrectly. as if it's just an inconvenience.
so it makes it hard to follow any plot points with her.
Emilia Fox, tall slim athletic, 1st the other woman, than the wronged wife- good but the character flips around a lot-
not the greatest not the worse. wouldn't be as good except for Iain Dawn & Emilia. Season 2- Nice to see Franco (mid 70s)-& Shelia (80s)
A client taking a cooking class- manages to completely cut off her finger- there wold have been much more blood- A deep cut, sure, but cutting off a finger thru bone with a knife-whille chopping, no.. Ridiculous.
Finale of S#2, sisn't care for it.
