I like that Adult Swim produces experimental stuff. Sometimes it's a hit and sometimes it's a miss. But usually I'm glad Adult Swim had the stones to try it. I don't much care for 12 oz Mouse, for example, but I'm glad Adult Swim tried it. I really liked Perfect Hair Forever, for some reason, and I'm glad Adult Swim tried it.

But some things hide behind the title Experimental because they're Just Plain Bad.

That would apply to Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! It's random, the scripts are thrown together, and the visuals often go beyond the point of nauseating. It evokes bad college student artwork; thoughtlessly thrown together at the last minute with hopes that the randomness will seem experimental and will spackle over the half-assed job.

If I was Cartoon Network I would have given this show a try based on the weight of Tom Goes To The Mayor, which showed flashes of brilliance here and there, even though it wasn't high on the entertainment scale. However, on seeing Tim and Eric Awesome Show, I'd wonder why Tim and Eric had squandered the resources and the opportunity and I wouldn't hire them again.
