How convenient they quickly throw Bush Sr. under the bus on every available opportunity throughout the series, but not even one single mention of Bill Clinton the entire show?! Clinton who was president during much of this time frame, especially, the "end" (as if it ever ended and hasnt actually gotten worse) when backroom deals were being struck, scapegoats locked up, people were being made redundant, free passes, witness protections, retirements etc.
Kinda makes me wonder if any of these stories being told have even a shred of truth to them. And why so little info about what the main character "Kiki" was really up to in Mexico? Obviously, more than we are being told. It seems to me very little factual evidence is presented, but rather a bunch of disgruntled egotistical employee nostalgia "I was such a bad ass back then!"... why are they STILL hiding the name of the DEA agent in charge, the one who took the 7-8 figure payoffs at the consulate? If you have taped interrogations, tortures, phone conversations and documents listing names, and the whole reason for this show in the first place is to expose the truth, why still hiding identities and leaving out the most important players in all of this? Why not lay it all out on the table, come clean, full disclosure, let those responsible face the music so to speak? Makes zero sense and smells really fishy to me.
Meh. This show is at best incomplete.
