This show was a beautiful trip to the original spider-man comics. As a huge fan, like my father before me, I used to read the Lee/Ditko and Lee/Romita comics over and over and over again, ditching the modern B.S. that constantly seems to be ruining comics today. When I saw that yet another Spider-Man TV series was coming on the air, I was skeptical and pushed it aside. But honestly, when I saw it, I immediately remembered the original comics. The look and feel is simple, and the characters maintain their personalities. I actually find myself enjoying some aspects more than in the comics books, although nothing can truly compare to the originals. In particular, the changes made to Gwen Stacey's personality were very refreshing, as were the changes to the cast, making them modern and diverse. I really hope to see the show continue, as I'm currently hooked.
