This is a great anime

The first few episodes are jarring as you don't really know what you are watching but once you realize it's farce, and totally over the top farce along with some really swampy domestic melodrama and deep homoerotic brovertones you will begin to get absorbed, dare I say immersed? The characters are funny and all become lovable in some way, that isn't another cliche. Good soundtrack too that calls back to the 80's and the wellspring from which a number of character's names come from in the series. It's a good watch and you can catch the first few seasons on Netflix.
