I know, the Cosby show is a classic right?  It may be, but if you really look at it, it was pretty sappy and contrived.  In fact, most of the time it was just downright boring.  There was more 'cute' than comedy and they were always trying to teach some old worn out 'lesson'. Most of the time it was hard to tell if it was a sitcom or an after-school special.
