Ah, Red Dwarf. A good cast, a very good idea, and very well written. At first.

Like all TV series, quality varies, in this case from really super fantastic, to really-poor-sucky badness. Thus, here is a cut-out-and-keep guide to each series.

Series 1-2 are a quite amusing sit-com set in outer space. Their quarters are grey, and the special effects are rubbish. This is GOOD Series 3-6 are a quite amusing sci-fi show with jokes. Their quarters are all pretty and shiny and white, and the special effects are ok. This is also GOOD Series 7-8 are really really unfunny sci-fi sitcom badness of rubbish proportions. Everything about it is bad. Look out for 2 good jokes per episode!  This is BAD

So there you have it: 1-6 = GOOD, 7 onwards = BAD
