Amazon state the battery life is 8 weeks based on 30 min usage a day, backlight & wifi turned off.

In the real world with normal wifi, and backlight usuage, probably a few hours a day for a week before I might consider charging. Sorry to be vague but I've never ran the thing flat as it seems to just last for ages.

That's good though either way. As long as I don't have to charge it every night. I have so many things charging it does my head in.

Hi everyone. I got an eReader for Christmas, it's a kindle paperwhite 7th gen. loving it so far. The battery has lasted a week right out of the box with heavy usage every day. Just charged it for the first time last night and although the charging light went green, indicating full power, when I have it turned on the battery indicator doesn't show as full, there is a tiny tiny bit not filled. I've read online that this is standard on kindle products but can anyone else confirm this who owns a kindle?

Here is a link that explains what I mean a bit better: My full battery indicator is like this. Is this normal? Kindle paperwhite 3 • /r/kindle
