I've been playing as Fl4k the last few times and loving it. Having a pet that can revive you really makes your survivability good. I think I'm preferring Fl4k to Moze as having a pet wearing shades and shooting a gun is just super cool!
It is very much more of the same but I love it. The guns can be a bit tricky to work out and sometimes their score does not equate to it being a better a gun. For me it's damage, magazine size and rate of fire that determine what I use. Remember that each manufacturer gives their gun a distinct characteristic, high hitting, charges up but gets more accurate over time, dual fire modes, throws like a grenade on reload, tracking bullets etc
For me, I prefer, SMGs and Assault rifles over shotguns or pistols although you can find some really nice pistols and shottys.
As an example I always tend to carry around with me a high hitting jakobs sniper rifle as they do not need to charge up and tend to be pretty accurate at long distances. An Atlas assault rifle so I can shoot a tracker onto a baddie then run away shooting homing bullets (even better is it's a x2 rifle) and typically a couple of dhal/mailwan SMGs that swap between fire/electricity/corrosion. I've not found radiation guns necessary although I have got a shotgun that deals an insane amount of radiation damage.
For me half of the fun is experimenting. Some guns you need to just try out to see if they work for you. At the moment I've got this legendary SMG that shoots fire that spreads out over distance and has an insane fire damage bonus which melts everything. Looking at its stats it did not look that great but in use it's crazy.
I like stats and looking at the stats and trying stuff out floats my boat but appreciate it can be annoying for others.
