I don't have anything to say about this that no one else hasn't already. However, I DO know that what fkf said about the show was incorrect (surprising no one else caught it). As Nick Knight is a vampire, he is ALREADY immortal. He is wanting to get his mortality back. He wants to become a human again...sunlight, food, all the perks he's missed over the last 700 centuries.
