I cant believe so many good actors got roped into doing this, the annoying thing is it could be great but the BBC has a habit of putting their snobbiness over everything they do.
Its also incredibly slow paced but fast unfolding (waay too many strings being pulled at the same time) which again I understand will/could make sense as the series unfolds but who'd want to... and for the love of god as another reviewer as mentioned, shoot the pianist, its soo annoying.
This show is doomed to fail because its trying to be house of cards BUT it wants and feels like something from the 80s, its like they're trying to remake thatcher without actually saying it, I've literally sat through the first episode purely because of the actors and honestly if it wasn't for them this series wouldn't even get the attention it has currently, the bbc have well and truly lost their ability to make good tv.
