If at any point you find something surprising, subtle or layered in this tired show, hats off to you. There is no gold in the riverbed, this is just a shallow, car park puddle. Like some reviewers here I do wonder how this terrible script convinced the BBC and cast. The characters of this story all seem to belong to the same old bore. The lowest point for me was the re-imagined four year old tantrum, oh sorry, I mean the prison riot. Forget all about this one so you can enjoy the talented cast another day.
