The voucher is £500 but could add to it!hoping to get 3/4 days For how many nights? Hoping 3, for me and other half! It may sound odd, but the last time we were in Barcelona, about a year ago, we stayed at the hotel on top of the main railway station. Perfectly adequate modern hotel that may well make your money go further.
Then again, we chose it because we were stopping off overnight on a train trip from Paris to Cordoba and beyond. (No one in their right mind flies around Europe.) So we needed somewhere to make an early morning start.
Be careful in Barcelona. One of those places where the snatchers are particularly active. Passeig de Gracia is a great option, a slightly more modest albeit rather nice 4 star in a great location but a bit more business in style I really enjoyed was called the Gallery Hotel. Looking at Barcelona myself for a 3 nighter in August and need to identify things (must sees) to do.
Not quite sure where the best place to stay is really. Was looking at the W Hotel but not sure if this is isolated stuck out in the beach.
