Anyone know ........ ?

Does anyone know of a credit card that gives you access to book any planes, trains, car hire, hotels and tours, at a quarter of the normal price ?

I'm looking for one but so far without success.

I don't mean, of rack rates and full fares. I mean, whatever you see as your best buy found, that if you then use the credit card to pay for it, it just charges you a quarter of that.

I also want it to have no annual fee and to get Avios on it too.

There's no credit card anywhere which will give you a 75% discount on the cost of an item?
Unless I'm reading your query wrongly?

No you've read it quite correctly, at least about the 75%.

But just to clarify, I don't mean a 75% discount on the full price. I mean, 75% off the best deal you find and might buy at 100% of that figure if you didn't have the card, except you do and with the card it will be just a quarter of what you see.

Lets take an example.A First Class fare of £15000 full price, is looked for well in advance and at an off peak season has been seen for £4000. Ah great - I'll go for that then. But because I then use the discounting card to pay for it, I only pay a quarter of that low figure - that's just £1000 to pay.
Similarly with hotels and car hire, etc. I see on a site like Kayak, a deal with Hertz for a car, £600, which already is a good deal. But using the credit card, its only £150.

i.e. You pay a quarter of the deal that you spot, so long as you use the credit card to pay for it. It automatically divides the price by 4 in what you are charged.

Such a card would also ideally not have an annual fee. Being a travel orientated card, it would also be nice if you could pick up Avios on it as well., say at ten Avios per £1 spent ( all purchases ).

Sorry, clear as mud to me.
Do you mean a credit card with the longest interest free on purchases period?

I think a credit card is not for you until you fully understand how one works.

I understand the question (I think).I don't know of anything that fulfils the criteria.I can't imagine any institution operating such a scheme - at least, not for long before it ran out of money to give away. And I'm curious as to why you are asking.Has someone somewhere told you of such a thing, but without giving you any details?

I get the impression this is maybe a p*ss take of someone who claims to always get huge discounts on everything??????

rousetafarian Publish time 2-12-2019 22:20:31

Nope. Nothing to do with any individual.

I just thought, if I could find a credit card that divided every travel purchase amount by 4, it would make my travel a lot cheaper.

I would have thought, such a card would be very popular to say the least. Therefore I'm surprised I can't find one. I think the banks are missing a huge market out there.

rousetafarian Publish time 2-12-2019 22:20:31

Nope. It just occured to me that this would be a really good card to have.

All that remains to do is find one and sign up to it.
