it seems Apple have just given up on this generation. I thought OS2 would really push some exciting and worthwhile speedy apps - but it's nothing but a damp Squib. It's still better/prettier at notifications/email than my Pebble was, but it's not the brilliant device I thought it was going to be.

Decided to switch back to my Planet Ocean for a few days from my Apple watch. My phone "dinged" so what did I do? Yep, immediately looked at my watch.

I'm so used to my wrist being "connected"

Anyway I ordered a couple of nice Hermes style straps tonight so it won't be for long....

So... have you tried paying for anything with your Omega yet lol?

I've finally upgraded to watch os2. I like the new watch faces. However I've noticed that I now have a remote iTunes app on there which I can't seem to get rid of. Is this standard now on watch os2?

I was mildly upset at launch of OS2, now I'm damn right annoyed at the lack of complications. 930 apps installed on my phone from a personal library of over 2000, and i only have 4 options of complications from apps i don't use.
prime real estate on my home screen is still dedicated to things i don't particularly care about, namely temperature and sunrise/sunset.

What are the known issues with OS2? Since updating I can't get sound or haptic feedback on my calendar notifications. Just going through some motions of trying to fix it but I've got a feeling it's a bug in OS2. Anyone else have this?

I definitely get haptic on my calendar notifications. No sound but I always have sound switched off on everything so not surprising.

One thing that annoys me is that my main screen (Utility) displays the next calendar appointments including my shared calendars. I have notifications for my shared calendars turned off (which works on both watch and phone) but I want the option to not show them on the watch screen too.

Do you mean OS2.2, released recently?

ssbib Publish time 2-12-2019 06:39:23

I can't figure it out. I've restored from backup but still no sound or haptic. Other notifications work fine. I might have to see if setting up as new watch fixes it. Had a similar thing with notifications on phone over the weekend and that fixed it.

As for your situation do you have notifications set to mirror from phone? Try setting up as custom on the watch. See if that helps.

ssbib Publish time 2-12-2019 06:39:25

I didn't know that was out. I am on 2.1 and was asking about that.

Just tried setting up as new Apple Watch. Not only would the sound and haptic not work for calendar notifications there either but I couldn't change the settings for notifications to custom. Or rather I could select custom but then couldn't turn on the notifications for upcoming events or any other he other categories. The on/off switch wouldn't move. I'll try updating the watch software soon 2.2 and see if that helps.
