@MarkR How are you getting on with your stainless strap Mark? Any more scratches? Have you buffed any out etc?

MarkR Publish time 2-12-2019 06:31:17

Spooky you should ask. The pads showed up today and have just applied to the buckle. I thought what the hell. Anyway it seems to have worked and most scratches have gone. It does look slightly shinier but you wouldn't know as has retained the brush look. I would guess a few more polishes then it would look very shiny. To be honest I'm almost in the mindset that the watch is going to get marked and even if I had a Tag or Rolex I would be faced with the same problem. I love this watch but am eagerly awaiting the reviews on the Space Black.

I will post some pics up later or tomorrow.

Yes any 316L Stainless Steel watch would have the same scratches.

Good luck with your decision Mark, I will feedback as I get more experience on wear.

Looking forward to it. Looks great so far.

Here are two pics, on the first one you can still see the scratch. It's a hair on the bottom of the buckle not a scratch as it looks. On the second picture on a different angle you can't even see it. I would say it's 80 percent of an improvement. Will try and get some pics in day light tomorrow.                                                                         https://www.avforums.com/attachments/image-jpg.589147/                                                                               https://www.avforums.com/attachments/image-jpg.589148/

data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7I don't mean to sound rude, but is this thread for real ?

Apple watches use the same materials as any other watch/jewellery manufacturer don't they ?

I've just scratched the mirror polished bit on my new Eterna Kontiki and whilst it's annoying it can be repaired (and there's none of that 14 day stuff available for me btw)

Doesn't stop me buying watches andthen havingto have them re-polished now and then

parallax33 Publish time 2-12-2019 06:31:19

It doesn't look too bad Mark.So where does that leave you now?

MarkR Publish time 2-12-2019 06:31:20

At the moment I think I might keep it. Although I really like the black as well lol. It's all down to you now to change my mind. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

parallax33 Publish time 2-12-2019 06:31:21

I don't want to change your mind, it's down to what you prefer and if you can live with the scratches as they appear...

I guess it's really mostly down to your preference in look, so I will try to add as many pics as I can to help show what the black is like in the flesh.... So difficult when there are no try one available for you.

How long do you have to decide?
