What is the best operating systems for HP /Compaq D530

Hi all looking advise on my used HP /compaq D530 how too up grade it!

For older hardware, I would try Linux. I use Ubuntu which is easy to install and use, but there are many flavours out there so have a play - they are all free.

What are you planning to use it for?

15 year old computers don't have much recent software support as you can imagine so questions like which OS and which upgrades will depend on what your plans are.

Something to run classic games or software that's not supported on modern OSes?
