anyone reading this thread should look at the original Techo thread also as there is an issue which has just come to light with power leads having the incorrect fuse fitted - i.e. a 13 amp instead of a 5 amp fuse.

Have two of them in boxes waiting to be put up on the wall. Can someone tell me if they are VESA 75 or 100?

Matt66- Remember you have to enable the external monitor on your laptop.

Usually one of the top F buttons.

Thanks for the wall mount tip.. I need one, but am tempted to pay the extra £1 and get the one which supports upto 40".

Do you know what they charge for shipping? I have looked around their site and can't find it!

I have just picked up my Silver Technosonic and I have to say that I wasn't expecting much. After all, its got a lot to live upto, as I have a number of 'flat screens' to compare it with:

Toshiba/Panasonic 42" Plasma
17" Relisys LCD
32" Sony S2010

And I also had a Hyundai Q321 which went back because it was truely awful.

I am unusual in that I have a low-tech requirement for my screens, in that I am only feeding them Sky via RF (Except the Plasma which is getting its feed via RGB).

To be honest, I wasn't expecting the Technosonic to be any better then the Relisys (which is pretty bad) since I am only feeding it RF.. But I have to say that its better than I ever expected.

Infact, the shock news is that its better than the Sony (by a long way).

The RF picture is amazing.. Its bright.. Vibrant and there isn't a lot of "dot crawl" or "colour bleed".

I haven't got a clue what its like in RGB, VGA or HDMI mode, but if its RF performance is anything to go by, its stunning.

For £400 this is an absolute bargain and I suggest that anyone who is hesitating should get one if/when they have a chance.

I hope that this helps someone..

All the best

Jon

Have you sorted out the Sony settings?
There is no way that they should compare let alone Sony being worse.
