Just found this dimming kit. The unit is from a UK company called Scolmore, the product is called click-smart. Interestingly, I think you can link them to battery powered switches, so if the unit is in the ceiling rose, you can remove wires from the wall completely.

That's one thing I like about Shelly, no hub. But if you have a hub I beleive you can program them to use it.
It sounds like 3 position momentary switches would be a better option for dimming, top button for increase, bottom for decrease. I can foresee issues with the standard momentary switch for dimming.

That information is what the manufacturer explained to me (or at least someone that has been using the dimmer pre-release)
I'm guessing for a standard momentary switch you would program the module for 1st press and hold to increase then 2nd press and hold for decrease. Still seems a bit complicated, the 3 position switch would be a lot easier to use but there's not much on the market.
I think that's the beauty of it, you can use either switches.
It all depends how much you use switches for dimming etc vs pre-programmed scenes. It not very often that I manually dim any of my lights. using switches. One of the great things about smart switches is you can program them to either change state by time of day or from an input from another sensor, such as a PIR, or both. If its dark and pir is triggered turn light on 40% for 10 minutes, unless PIR is re-triggered.
Do you use the Fibaro dimmer? If so does the bulb react quickly dimming from the switch? I'm finding lightwaverf annoying slow to change dimming levels, coming from Hue which was instantaneous from their switches.
I've ordered a Shelly dimmer to try when they're out, also bought a retrotouch retractive switch but it's makes a loud click on the switch so will have to find an alternative.
Fibaro dimming is very smooth and pretty much instantaneous with either switch or app

I can't seem to find any nice 3 position retractive switches, only grid ones like this or this. I would have thought they would be a lot more options, assuming they work with dimming modules, fibaro does, hopefully the Shelly one will too
