I've had Hue strips behind my TV for bias lighting since I wall mounted it and I like it.
I can do something similar to this Sync Box using an app on my Nvidia Shield TV called Hue Stream.
If I'm honest I'm underwhelmed by it. It's quite good on a 16:9 action type movie but on a wider aspect ratio it tasks away the cinematic feel by showing up the black bars and for a drama or less action orientated film the constant light changes just annoys me.

I have been following this on a couple of HA podcasts and some of the US forums. Nobody is giving it glowing reviews, in fact nobody is giving it good reviews. Reliability and price point are the main issues. It disconnects a lot apparently or falls out of sync. Maybe when it lands over here it will be better.

Anyone know would the HDMI switching works? eg if I have more than 1 device attached, do you need to use the app to switch devices?

No DV is a killer for me. I really don't get why they made this a switch box, or at least provide some choice. Considering the not so glowing reviews I may buy one on the second-hand market data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 and put it in the second output of my amp to try and not make it interfere with my otherwise as good as a perfect setup.

Thanks, that's a bit impractical but it says you can plug the output of soundbar/amp into the unit then into the TV, so that's good.
It's a shame they didn't make a smaller, cheaper, 1 in/out HDMI unit for the people with soundbar/amps, which would probably be a high percentage of their market.
