Quite excited for this! I’ve run the software equivalent whilst gaming from my PC but a HDMI pass through I could put in line with my Roku would encourage me to get some strips behind the TV! Not so thrilled by the cost though.

I thought it would be a matter of time but at $229 which will probably mean £200 thats crazy money. I get the HUE range isnt cheap but something which should maybe integrate in the first place should be more customer friendly in terms of cost. Afterall we have already bought in to the Hue product.
For me I would want this with movies and sport. I have SkyQ 4K but my main concern would be loss of quality or dreaded lip sync. We shall see. At least something is on the horizon anyway
I also have the Play bars! gutted to find out I will likely need another 2 for my 65". 3 might do so will extended further one by one. The LED strips are messy and look horrible behind a tv from the side. They also fall off constantly so if you can afford it go with the bars

Also the more I think about this if you run it all through the hub, then into your amp and then into the arc on your TV, as long as you have the lip sync setting on your amp activated that should resolve the lip sync?

I dont have an amp. I use my samsung soundbar via ARC.

Yup. All over this. Been wanting them to do something like this for ages. I'll probably end up getting the hue bars to go with it.
I'm running through an amp, so I assume that will now save me amp slots which is also a bit of a benefit

Be interested to see if it adds any extra lag when playing Playstation/Xbox through it. Guessing it might kill response times. Hopefully a few gamer centric places review it soon.

What I’ve read so far indicates it has to go amplifier, sync box then tv, or else it won’t work. I also read it adds no lag for gaming, but is very quiet on lip sync issues!

Any news on what this does or doesn't support? I'm reading conflicting things....but basically, it doesn't sound good in terms of what the lights will actually sync with.

Well it's out in the US now so thought I'd see some reviews but couldn't see any when I just looked. However, had a look at the official philips web page for this and there's a lot of complaints with people not being able to set it up properly, or it continually disconnecting from the bridge.Hopefully by time it's released in UK the bugs will be ironed out.
