I think if you get a good sample panel of the monitors then they are superb, but there seems to be a lot of panel variability which some people don't really mind and some are very fussy over.

Not sure if this has been mentioned above but Amazon are doing some monitor discounts currently. For example:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/ASUS-PG279Q-Gaming-Monitor-G-Sync/dp/B017EVR2VM
27" 1440p with G-Sync. £599 down from £725. According to The Camels that's low.

I paid £640ish for mine I think and that was a trade price.I haven't seen it side by side with the Aorus though.

It is a very good price to be fair, still none the wiser on which i am going to get yet, but still have a bit of life in the old ultrawide at the moment.

Panel uniformity and light blue would be the one to check on this. Otherwise it would be great

Should be excellent. TN panel but the wide viewing angles of IPS are pretty irrelevant for PC gaming in my opinion. No idea why you would be off axis while gaming so TN should be just fine in 99% of use cases.
EDIT: I would at least hold out till the end of the month and see what BF and CM turn up
