Yep, game is a load of crap basically. It's a complete lottery as to how your team performs and training or not, the stats don't seem to count for anything.

The vast majority of my squad have B's & C's as their main rating for their stats, yet they're incapable of stringing together a couple of passes. Meanwhile the CPU has players valued at 200 coins, with far worse stats, tearing the pitch apart with passing moves and shots.

I've noticed mine improve quite a fair bit from levelling up. At the start they were hopeless but now string some passes together, skip past players, exploit flanks etc. Player positioning and zonal markers can make a big difference as well.

Once again, had to dismiss a few players to bring in some new ones.I genuinely feel gutted when I give them the boot!

Not doing great in the new league, but hoping to build my players up a bit and maybe try again next season.

Hobbston Rovers have been doing terrible in friendlies, despite levelling them up and taking on poorer teams the can barely get a draw. Are the players you start off with completely random?

I'm totally addicted anyway, gonna start a second team named after my sunday league team, Gulls Town. Can't imagine them doing any worse than Hobbston anyway!

I'm utterly engrossed with this game. I find myself addicted to levelling up my players just as much as watching the matches. Every single one has been different so far and see something new every match.

Exactly the same here mate, I love it and like you, I've not seen anything repeat in the games yet. They genuinely seem to be processed on the fly, taking into account the appropriate abilities of the players. My main man Saunders is the complete midfield general and dominates games against lesser opposition.

It's just so addictive and despite it's seemingly simplistic gameplay, I actually find it a pretty engrossing experience.A solid 9/10 for me and it's just a perfect handheld game.

Indeed. At first I wasn't so sure about it as its extremely bare bones in terms of options and features but its got lots of heart and as you say its perfect for a hand held game. I'm slowly but surely levelling up my players but mainly concentrating on the spine of my team so 1 def, 1 mid and 1 att get the lions share of the good training combos.

Has anyone had any success after being promoted? I'm in a relegation battle which sucks!

Yeah, i've been fiddling about with formations and have moved my star midfielder out to the right.I've also strengthened the team loads and have a lot of cover so that I can stick on a couple of good forwards late in the game when they are tiring.

I've spent the whole off season really working on defensive and attacking training matches and feel in good shape for the new league now.My offseason has lasted about as long as the league season itself and you really have to make the most of it and work hard if you are going to be in shape for the tougher test.
