Pondering this one, how long does the simulated matches take?I thought around 7 would be reasonable, but might take it for 10 if it's going up soon.

CAS FAN Publish time 27-11-2019 03:12:46

Not sure exactly, probably about 5 mins. I quite like watching them.

Edit: just timed one and they last around 10 minutes data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7.

Enjoying this. So similar to Pocket League Story, maybe more simple. In saying that, I could do with knowing what exactly each icon means for player stats.

I'm really enjoying this and am nearing the end of my first season.Currently top by 5 points with 6 wins and 1 draw.

It does seem quite simple, but there's actually quite a few subtleties to it and the little changes you make have a good visible affect to what goes on during a game.

Dammit, I really don't want to bite on this and would rather spend my cash elsewhere but it looks excellent!

Might have to get this myself but I'm currently heavily invested in FM 14 on my laptop (its all I've played over the past few weeks) so not sure if its the right time to pick this up.

CAS FAN Publish time 27-11-2019 03:12:47

Probably not mate. It's never going to compete with something like FM, but I like it because it's nice and pick up and play, fairly simple and I can easily take the 3DS anywhere.

Yeah and I wouldn't expect it to. FM and champ man from the Amiga days has always stood alone as the premium manager simulation. This Nintendo offering does look like good quirky fun so might just grab it. I think I already have a fiver credit on my account so its a cheap purchase data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Bought this last night for around £6 (had nearly £5 credit) so far I'm really enjoying it. Its got bags of charm and the training card feature is really good. A lot of reviews say that watching each match is a chore but I find them brilliant to watch. Nothing feels scripted and whilst you have minimal tactical options its surprising how much the game can change with tweakingthe zones and player positions.

I've not started the season proper yet but had 4 friendlies. Lost 3 in a row but won my last one. My squad is extremely bare bones at the minute and contains only 2 strikers so looking forward to adding more depth.
