It means that you don't get an AC adapter. You can just plug the USB into a USB socket on your TV though.

If its the same and NES Mini you don't get a three pin plug with it.Just a USB cable which you can plug into a TV or a three pin plug with a USB connection (any mobile phone plug iPhone/Samsung)
