Destiny is the worst game I've played for a long time.
In fact I'd say it's games like this that are ruining the industry. You used to be able to play competitive shooters on an even playing field. Now you can't. Damn shame.

I'm going it's Rory Macilroy golf on ps4. I payed £55 on psn and the game is absolutely terrible. It's too easy. Graphics are good for ps4 but there's hardly any courses. Tiger woods 14 had over 30 excellent courses. RMG had 6 on release and a year on i think there are now 9 proper courses.
So I'm voting for RMG.Oh yes I must also say that fallout 4 comes a close second. A dreadful game with laughable AI that's 20 years out of date. Th pe graphics on ps4 were poor. The gameplay and dialogue was beyond belief for a game made in 2015.

There's obviously loads of bad games that've been forgotten but if it comes down to hype/expectation vs crappiness then I'll also go for Rise of the Robots (CD32 version for me so at least I was spared the disk swapping).
I was hyped for this for ages and my then gf bought it for my birthday. She's a non-gamer and completed it first go by continually tapping whatever button it was. Biggest disappointment was the graphics which were also hyped due to being rendered or whatever and they were decidedly average at best. Gameplay was definitely non-existent.

Don Bradman cricket on ps4 was awful because it was identical to the PS3 version. No effort had been made to improve the game in any way. A complete waste of money and a total rip off

Depends on the platform...
Atari 2600: ET, yes it was awful
C64: Elite or Revs, both over-rated
SNES: Donkey Kong Country 2
N64: Top Gear Rally, don't think there were ever any decent driving games
Wii: most of the non-Nintendo ones
PS2: Fifa
PS3: GTA IV, such a clunky game compared to the PS2 version

Harry Potter games were crap! I loved the books and movies but the games have been really disappointing!

In the context I've followed the series back from the Msx days and purchased a PS3 just for the forth entry to the series, my personal
Worst game is Metal Gear Solid 5. So much promise, but in the end a non immersive mess as far as gameplay was concerned.

Difficult to name a worst game, but most overhyped game I've ever played is Zelda:Ocarina of Time on the 3DS.
It may have been passable back in '98, but to then receive review scores such as IGN's 9.5/10 thirteen years later is a joke.
Bland environments, no levelling system, no upgrades, monotonous backtracking...it should've been reviewed and rated in comparison to every other title released in 2011, by which it should've received no more than a 4/10.
An absolute bore of a game, even when viewed through rose tinted specs.

^i only remember playing it back then but loved it. But that could be nostalgia, however have replayed many games back then that had high scores like Mario 64 and it's still great
