Don't smoke, never smoked but the government is going overboard with all this anti vaping propaganda. I support the rights of smokers to smoke as long as it doesn't impact me and vapour does not impact me so crack on.
I also think the advertising rules are full of double standards. You can't advertise e-cigs in any way that might be seen to glamorise or sexualise the use of e-Cigs but you have M&S broadcasting melt in the middle chocolate pudding porn every xmas.I don't think eating chocolate puddings is a healthy lifestyle option either. Don't even get me stared on the Diet Coke ads.
As long as e-cig adverts don't make false heath claims, they should have the same rights as any other advertiser. Sick of this nanny state bullcrap.

I'm not a smoker, never have been.
Many companies have banned e-cigarettes.Does this mean that e-cigarette smokers now have to have a break to go outside to vape?
Agree about the nanny state crap.Cigarettes, then salt, sugar is next.Advertising doesn't make me use any more, or less, of any of these.

It's now 5 1/2 years since I had a fag. I was a commited smoker and can honestly say I enjoyed every single one of my cigarettes. I never thought I would give up and neither did my wife. E-Cigs should be available on the NHS just like patches and gum, but we all know why they never will be. And to all those people screaming "addicts", yes, I am addicted to nicotine but it has never been proved to be harmful when taken in this way, and don't tell me you're not addicted to anything, you are, think about it for a while and then come back to me. By the way, do any of you like tomatoes or aubergines? Nicotine occurs naturally in both, along with lots of other foods. Media and Governments really do control you.....if you let them.

Me and my partner smoked for over 20 years. In all honesty I thought I would smoke for ever more. My sister in law was the same and had just tried these and recommended them. Last cigarette was January 18th 2014.
Nearly a year ago and we both vape. Not a lot now at all.
For us it's been absolutely brilliant and I can't imagine ever going near a cigarette ever again. Vaping has been an outstanding success for both of us. I don't do it in the workplace , if I need a hit I may go into the loo or kitchen have a couple of puffs and that's me for hours. Not offending anybody.
I agree it should not be allowed in pubs or restaurants for example, but in some places (I.e. Open air like football stadia etc then what the heck is the problem).

I'm not a smoker and never have been but have friends who are - Here is my take on it
While I can see the benefits of e-cigarettes and would never want to outright ban them, I would love to limit the use of them indoors.
Main gripe would be when I went to the cinema with a friend. We were lucky enough to get free tickets to a show I was very eager to see. Every time she had a puff on her e-cig a light on the side of the thing would go on. We were in the cinema watching a film and I could see this blue light out the corner of my eye every 10-20 minutes, it was so damned annoying. She could go a whole film without smoking a real cigarette so why did she need to constantly puff on the fake one?..

I agree.I am a vaper and do it with the same consideration for others as I did when smoking. Its never even crossed my mind to vape in a cinema.
