We've got a tin of Carnation we've had since June 1977. I'm certain of the date as I won it in a school raffle during The Queens Silver Jubilee year.

The craziest part is that we all have these things and yet, when my wife comes across them, rather than binning them immediately,they get put back in the cupboard 'just in case'! Just in case of what???

There are many things in people's store cupboards that were bought for a specific occasion but only a small amount was used and it's stuff like this that hangs around for years until you decide to cook that same thing again.
