Need advice on genuine Health Supplements.
I am new to Fitness and workouts. I need few suggestions on Health Supplements for muscle growth.Daniel What are you goals? Looking to just look a bit bigger or do you want to do powerlifting or bodybuilding?
My personal view is ignore all these supplements and instead eat a healthy diet with all the protein etc. you need contained within that. No supplements are needed for muscle growth. Stimulate the muscles through resistance training, feed the muscles through a sensible balanced diet. Have a thorough read through the Common Gym Mistakes sticky at the top of this section. No supplements are needed but they do help !! here is a list of my best aids ! comes with good diet and train hard !!
1 Creatine. Creatine is a naturally occurring substance within our muscle cells, primarily around the skeletal muscle tissue where approximately 95 percent of the body's creatine supply can be found. ...2 Beta-Alanine. ...3 Whey Protein. ...4 Branched-Chain Amino Acid (BCAA) ...5 Glutamine.Mr Wardy is right but we are not all the same and as i get older i need all the help i can get data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 Yep,I the 5gram creatine, 5gr of beta alanine, 9 gram of l-glutamine and some taurine...works for me data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 You should be able to get sufficient nutrients and vitamins from your diet Creatine is fine, but not essential with people responding differently.
Beta alanine needs quite high and consistent (months) dosage and is more optimized for cardio
Whey OK to top up dietry protein
BCAAS not needed, new evidence suggesting little affect. If you are taking whey you definitely don't need them.
Glutamine does little, it's old school bro-science. where is this old bro -science ? please point me to all links ?
My friend Wardy257 what do take ? are you lean ? Bcaas are my magic beans lol.. Whey protein
Creatine
Beta Alanine
Taurine
That's what I use Well here is a link for BCAAs.
Branched-chain amino acids and muscle protein synthesis in humans: myth or reality?
I only use whey, if I don't get enough protein during normal meals so maybe two or three times a week and that's it at the moment. Supplements are mostly marketing.
