Gloves/socks
Morning, new week, new forum to pester with a couple of questions.I do outdoor fitness (BMF) and with the temperature dropping need to do something about keeping warm. At the moment I have a base layer and shorts/tshirt which is fine, it's my feet and hands that end up freezing. I've tried running gloves and woolly gloves and neither particularly keep my hands warm, and once I'm into press-ups etc with hands on the cold ground they just get wet and become pretty much useless. Not sure if I need a different material, although not too keen in spending a fortune given how regularly they'd need washing and I'm either without them or need multiple pairs (again cost). Or if I should try two pairs, not sure which way round, woolly on the outside I'd think would still soak up water and become useless, and if they were inside something else would probably make my hands too warm? On the subject of socks I think it's a similar question, added in I'm not sure that two pairs of socks would be a good idea for the running side, might make feet move around more in my trainers?
What's odd is that I went through last winter without being too bothered about the cold but the past couple of weeks there's been a couple of sessions that's been biting cold to the point of toes going numb.
Thanks for any tips I'm a BMF instructor so can hopefully help you out. Must of the members at my park use the 20% off at Black's that all members get. For gloves you need to spend at least £20 and get ones that will still work when wet. Mine are similar to these:

Some members have waterproof socks but most hardcore members wear waterproof shoes like these:

Quite a few at our park wear Salomon's as well, only thing that put me off was some of the reviews saying they wear out quickly on pavement. Can't be sure what we'll do the majority of the session on so I left it, might give them another look though as my current shoes are getting past it. I wouldn't buy any Solomon trainers, I have had 2 pairs and they wore through far too quickly and there a small sizing too.
I have a pair of 4 year old Adidas Response trail 18 and i still walk about in them although I won't run in them anymore, their properly built to run in and are Gore-Tex.
I now think that these Response Trail have been superseded by Terrex TrailMakers GTX though. https://www.avforums.com/attachments/img_20171208_193930-jpg.950247/
My glove(s) from Blacks. I can't describe how good they are, even when wet.
