weighted vest..
I'm after a weighted vest - say upto around 20kg, but not sure about them really... has anyone used them before? and which ones are the best?want cheap as possible, tho, saw one in argos that looked ok, but is delivery only (as I have a 50 quid voucher to use that can be used at some stores like argos and Debenhams..)
prime exercise is for the burpees... just ordered this one to use up the vouchers I had...wil be delivered within 5 days, and will give a review in due course data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
Buy RDX 18KG Weighted Vest - Red | Fitness accessories | Argos well, got the belt and it's going back - it's very bulky, and even more awkward to put on - and that's without any weights on at all...plus it looks naff...so, will be taking it back on saturday... shame as the idea appealed to me.. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 i bought one of these, great quality and very comfortable
Tactical Fitness Weighted Training Vest | Tactical Fitness Yeah these weighted vests are no good if they dont fit right, a great addition for body weight excercises, they will certainly take your fitness to the next level. well, gonna take it back tomorrow (as we're shopping anyway), and was going to buy some pre-workout, but noticed they have some 10kg vests that look much smaller... tho, the zipped one has mixed reviews due to the zip not being that good...
Buy Men's Health Adjustable Weighted Vest - 10kg | Fitness accessories | Argos
and this new one...
Buy Opti 10kg Weighted Vest | Muscle toning | Argos Can't beat the 5.11 tactical plate carriers. They're not cheap but they're definitely the best and most comfortable.
A few friends at my gym have the Tactical Fitness vest that dap33 has posted and all like them.
It depends what your budget is really. yep, tried on the opti (with 1/2 the weights in) - and it's a decent fit, and will keep it... much, muchbetter design than the RDX one.. decathlon have them if you have one near ok, review of the belt...still got a bit of a sore wrist and was apprehensive about going, and tried some pressups in the house with the full 10kg and managed 6 haha..
so, dropped down to the 5kg and set off...
did my usual push routine - but felt it on my wrist slightly when doing the 40kg dumbbell benchpress so dropped down to 38kg where i was able to keep my wrists straight...
cracked on with some more stuff and shoulder work then as a finisher i normally do 10x10 strict burpees supersetted with 5x5 kettlebell press (per arm) for the first 5 sets, then the last 5 sets do 5x5 bar dips (and sometimes with a band when hard going) - but felt it on my wrist when doing the kettlebell press so just did the burpees and could only manage sets of 5 haha... but managed to do 75 strict ones in total so happy with that..
happy with the belt, only one slight issue tho is the straps could do with being longer as they need to be overlapping so they get a decent grip and if I add all the weights then this may not be possible...tho, that's not an issue when doing pressups, but burpees yes...
