I know what I didn't want to see in M&S this morning, me

My wife insisted we went to get the Christmas dinner, against my better judgement I agreed

It's a massive store, with a huge car park, which was full at 11am, not good

We got in there and pandemonium , every aisle jam packed, imagine 20 people in your kitchen, 10 with trolleys and you won't be far out

I've never seen gridlock in a food hall before but this was it

We had an almighty row which ended up with me threatening to leave her there if she didn't come with me because there was no way I was fighting my way round followed by an hour queuing to pay

I made some myself for the first time last weekend, wasn't too hard and while it was a little rich for my tastes the Mrs loved it.

Oops, I'm sure that it didn't say 'food' in the title when I read it on the ipad, maybe it was cut off.

I'd like to see a decent crispy duck with pancakes to be more statutory and not frozen in supermarkets, i.e. not the ready-shredded kind, the whole/half proper duck kind.
Also the only place where you can get haggis in the supermarket easily is in Scotland, am I the only one who likes it?

Been there before, best advice is to get a basket and a trolley park your trolley in the pet foods isle and foray with the basket filling your trolley as and when. Very sad but it works.

Security staff to throw out customers who leave their trollies unattended in the middle of the isles.

Who said anything about 'middle' (parked to one side). During the silly season security staff have a damn sight more to worry about than the deserted pet food isle.

My local Tesco sells haggis.
I prefer a nice black pudding myself but I do like haggis.

SAINSBURYS sell duck that you roast then carve up yourself along with the pancakes, no veg included though you havd to buy the greens.
