The "U-turn" wasn't half as embarrassing as the the Prescott/Corbyn stage show about it that confirmed that neither of them should be in charge of a children's party, much less less a country.

She has had longer to prepare the manifesto than anyone else, she's been 'leading' the country for almost a year and she's up against what should have been hopeless opposition. That she's so far out of touch with the British public at this stage, after calling this unnecessary election, just paints her as completely inept.
I do not expect a PM to back down on policies within days, because of media or public pressure. Where's the belief in what she stands for? If something isn't working then go ahead and admit you were wrong, don't change your mind before even trying it though. If you have no faith in what you believe, then why expect the public to have faith in you? She also did this over the NI raise, when she wasn't courting votes, let alone her other changes of stance which, in the main, seem motivated by her misjudgement of what the public want.
I've questioned all along what she actually stands for, and I'm still none the wiser. We elect politicians to best represent us, putting faith in them that they will implement policy that serves the country's best interest. We've got a weak willed mirror for the will of the people, a PM who can't even get that right most of the time. A sheep in wolf's clothing.

Especially as a lot of those that it does affect will be a lot better off under the new proposal..

I've got to say having watched that little sarcastic exchange outside the bus by those two, I was embarrassed for them, and people talk about democracy, that and the press chasing after politicians, pressing questions with no answers, May bumbling along, there all as bad as each other.
Idiots.

IF she keeps to it
It will be considered and consulted on in the green paper, its now an add on instead of a original pledge. So if she gets a large majority out it could go.
Traditional older voters will pick up on that and not like it

Inconceivable. What was the climax?

They moved on in the end and the following day he condemned the violence used but that was it.
Edit
The May U-turn has saved him for now from it being a big issue (even the hospital deficit was barely mentioned yesterday).
However 2 weeks is a long time in politics, so assuming the Tories can move on, this could be a huge issue and might win back some lost older voters.

I think the awful news from Manchester is going to overshadow everything for a good few days.

Agreed
I hate to say it, but this attack makes Corbyn views on the ira more relevant than ever.
