Slightly off topic.
On my train home.
It's not full, but a guy is sitting on the floor by the door. For a very brief moment I thought it might have been the Messiah.

I caught the tail end of this on the News, but in a move to (presumabl) placate Jewish Communities Jeremy has presented a Commemorative Achievement Award to the Jewish arm of the Labour party.Unfortunately the award was funded by a Muslim family in memory of a family member who used to campaign against Israeli policy, who are rather upset about it.Jeremy's interview to discuss this and other issues with the BBC was unexpectedly cancelled at the last minute...

Oh dear, I feel a little for him though. Best intentions (always my first assumption) gone horribly wrong.

But John McDonnell was not talking about Brexit- which is a Tory issue at the present time. He was talking about what might happen if they win the next election.
Labour wants to buy back the electric companies, the gas companies, the water companies, the trains, the post office, and buy back many of the PFI deals, so naturally the city is scared.
McDonnell admitted the pound would take a hammering.

Only way this bunch can be exciting is if they rip apart the front bench and put Rees Mogg in charge.....
Otherwise this is exactly what it sounds like, apart from May as she sounds the same as cow pat hitting the floor when she talks..
EDIT:oh I thought it was talking about the it the Conservatives haha.. well still not excited..

Labour doesn't need to talk about Brexit at the conference, many more battles to come in Parliament over that. Labour is on a General Election footing, gambling on the overall Labour outlook and policy platform winning over voters. The Conference is the best place to present it and mentioning Brexit will get in the way. This is all about spin.
As for McDonnell, he will likely be factoring in a worst case Brexit scenario into his planning in private or one would hope.
The City is always scared of Politicians who want to change the direction of travel on a radical policy platform. I'm not underestimating the dangers of what he's proposing to do either. It would be a recipe for a very short Corbyn led Government if he does it in a rush and not over a period of time to ease the City into it. These are not exactly new Labour Policies either, a lot of what Corbyn is championing has been lifted from Ed Miliband.
We are not in rational political times, so you have to expect that voters who are sick of Austerity and so on will go for Labour even if it might not be in the best interests of the country (depending on what your view point is). Or they may not go for anyone and stay at home.

If you think we have austerity now you ain't seen nothing yet if Corbyn was to get in.
We would be virtually bankrupt and borrowing would be impossible unless on very high interest rates and a run on the pound not seen before on this scale.
Therefore none of his promises would be achievable, when are the young idealists going to see through the stupidity of his and McDonnell's master plan.

We've seen through the stupidity of Cameron's master plan and now we have seen through the stupidity of May's master plan.
Maybe the stupidity of Corbyn's master plan might bear fruit. Unless of course the Tories are running scared in case Corbyn's stupidity does show promise.

We are supposed to be discussing the Labour Party Conference...Not sure what relevance May and Mogg have
