Labour Party Conference kicks off. Excited?

The star of the show is obviously Jeremy Corbyn and he really loves being adored as some kind of cult saviour. The Momentum members have carefully expunged any traditional Labourite that might add some discord to the proceedings. So one of the first tasks will be a vote on whether Sadiq Khan will be allowed to speak!
Other lifetime and respected luminaries like Chuka Umanna, Andy Burnham will not be given a seat at the top table, as they are regarded with suspicion.

So we can expect lots of criticism of the Conservatives and lots of cries of the 'Many not the Few'.
Corbyn says he is handing the party back to the people (activists?) , so more speeches from them and less from the big guns.

But what we should be hearing about is Labour's policies. This time they should be properly costed.i.e not just empty election promises like lifting pay caps, open cheque for NHS, free Uni tuition and cancelling loans.
We do want to hear a clear statement on where Labour stand on Brexit. And this should be something that will realistically be accepted by the EU. So while Jeremy may say he wants to remain in the Single market, the EU will certainly not agree if Labour are taking us out of the EU.
Of course, many members want Jeremy to state that Labour will keep the UK in the EU!

Quite honestly, this conference might be rather alarming for traditional working class, lifetime labour supporters.

I think he’ll do a huge u turn on the EU. He is just like everyone else and is purely in it for himself.

Labour seem to be heading towards a more relaxed amateurish style of presentation - 'get down with the kids' attitude. Gone are the coffered hair, Armani suits and the slick delivery.

The next general election will show if Labour's 'new look' will work. Personally I have my doubts.

Saw his interview on Marr this morning, the "man of principle" was very slippery and full of his usual weasel words. He refused numerous times to answer the straightforward question of if he would support Red Len's call for Unions to break the law, and go on strike with less than a 50% turnout.

He was also completely sitting on the fence regarding Brexit and the single market. Just for a changedata:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7.

Looking forward to it, but I'll leave the excitement to the centre and right of the political ground they seem to have huge appetite for the happenings of'oh Jeremy Corbyn'. Sorry it's like an innate response, keep bursting into a trance like chants...data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I take it that "chants" was a typo..........

Yes, should be good fun as a trigger for our Forum 'alt-Right Mary Whitehouse brigade' (Trademark Pending) to get offended and upset whilst simultaneously getting offended and upset about other people potentially getting offended and upset.

I'm looking forward to it, should be a laugh watching all the Comrades worshipping The Dear Leader, and the National Union of Trots looking their usual Worzel Gummidge sartorial best data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

P.S.

Just heard that the Labour Party's numerical genius Diane Abbott is delivering a speech this morning on......immigration being "weaponised" by the Tories. Should be a giggle.

Corbyn to say, "I could become Prime Minister" as well.
