Not sure how this helps understand much. The non working pensioner population increasing will bring down that average

Corbin not bowing to the queen is about as disrespectful as Corbin not bowing to me. The only one who's showing disrespect is the queen expecting her subjects to bow to her. It's 2017 for Christ sake. Why should anyone have to bow to anyone, purely because their ancestors were murderous, pillaging tyrants?A totally crazy notion

And the funny thing is that she actually doesn't expect that.

Good, becuase she wouldn't get it off any sensible person data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

If she doesn't expect it though, who would anyone give a crap that Corbyn didn't bow? Seems to me to be one of those cases where someone gets offended on someone else's behalf or something.

When I were a lad we were taught to respect our elders, that included that old git next door, policemen, doctors, teachers, and the queen. In the rush to the bottom, now we don't need to respect anyone in a position of authority.

Thank goodness I still have big boots and a pointy stickdata:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

That's just it though. I don't think not bowing to the queen, not referring to teachers or policemen or whatever by their name instead of sir is being disrespectful necessarily. Fair enough if someone were to go up to one and address them like "oi up ****" or something, then fair enough.

I'll tell you a story, when I was a school all the strict disaplinairians were hated and all the bad lads gave them endless sh*t and behaved crap for them. Then there was this one teacher who was pure awesome. The first day in his class when we walked in he had his name on the board, his name was Jim. He pointed to it and that's my name so that's what you call me.

All the bad kids behaved well for him and did more work in a week of his classes than a year in the disaplinarian's classes. That teacher left after two years and when I asked why, he basically said he was pushed out because senior management didn't appreciate his style of teaching data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

That says everything really.

She would get it from me. Just like I would address you with Herr Blitzkrieg until invited to be on informal footing. Or just like I would approach the priest with my arms cross for a blessing, etc. Common courtesy doesn't cost anything.

Blitzkrieg Publish time 26-11-2019 02:20:32

Seriously, I'd just prefer you ask me my name and use it. If you referred to me as heir blitzkrieg or heir king as per my sirname, I'd probably stand there puzzled for a minute or two before laughing and walking off. I'm saying that's how I'd probably react becuase I've never had anyone refer to me as that, so I'm guessing at best.

Well no, I have had people refer to me as mr king, cold callers do all the time and I just blow a whistle down the phone to them. The other people to call me mr king are mates in jokular way, but random people I meet somewhere? Never

And I certainly don't think anyone using the names Phil, pj or silvaback (the names I use) are being dis respectful in anyway. Neither am I being disrespectful when I call someone by their name
