Yet the KSA government spends hundreds of millions on try to combat extremism, whether that is a different extremism than ours is debatable.

It beggers belief why we have so many business interests in the region and keep sending our armed forces over.

Actually you'll find that I do care about them, as ISIS are intent on causing a conflict between Sunni and Shia Islam across the region aka a bloody regional conflict. Kuwait is just yet another attack on that road. They view Shia Muslims as apostates and are thus fair game to them.
It's as I feared, Tunisia is a very popular destination for British Tourists. Think my Dad's work mate has already cancelled his holiday there.
If the newspaper reports are true, locals shielded tourists from the Terrorists. These sorts of attacks in Tunisia will likely have the opposite effect to the one Terrorists intend. Yes they have damaged Tunisia's tourism industry but that's something that can be rebuilt over time. The anger won't be directed at the Tunisian Government, it will be aimed at the Terrorists for taking livelihoods away.
Especially hard, given I expect those who plan big attacks have probably switched to the dark web to plan things. While you can ban hate preachers from social media, they'll just pop up in a different guise elsewhere.
The Saudi Royal Family's promotion of Wahhabi Islam is the crux of the issue. Ironically it's what will probably bring the Saudi Royals crashing down once the Saudi Oil fields dry up.

Its a good headline! But the average household in the Middle East, probably uses four times the kWA as we do in Britain. Each room will be air-conditioned at 3kw per unit!
Now, there is lots of sun so during the daytime you could, in theory, use thousands of solar panels but what about when the sun goes down? Its going to get pretty hot at night!

Saudi Arabia if it gets it's renewable technology right, should be able to weather the storm of the World Economy switching from being oil based to something else. If not then the Saudi Royal Family falls and Terrorists run rampant.
