There's the rub of it as said working conditions are inherently consumer driven.
Do you have any evidence that Amazon warehouse workers in France, Germany, Italy or Spain get paid less than in the UK? After all, they have the same exposure to the EU workforce at large in terms of available labour competing for jobs. And the job won't be different in one Amazon warehouse to another...
I haven’t assumed anything, I’m simply comparing comments from people written on this forum.When it’s the Brexit thread, there are posters who say they voted leave to protect the low skilled and low paid workers in the U.K. who are adversely affected by EU workers.In this thread, two British residents have posted of their family’s experiences specifically with Amazon and some comments have suggested that the same low paid workers in the U.K. should essentially be grateful for the low paid jobs and should leave if they don’t like it.

Sorry for the Mirror link...But isn't the point that these jobs are now available to UK nationals and they are being taken to some extent? Our children can now get these low paid jobs and move on when they aspire to more.
and if they are not filled T&Cs will change to entice them.
Surely those jobs have always been available?
But granted, with fewer resources available then the chances are that at some point conditions and pay will have to improve to attract the right workforce.
Or are we simply moving towards more non-EU immigrants?
