It was pretty clear from the start I was talking about armed militants as opposed to your fatuous bollocks about civilians. All after you brought 1984 into the conversation when it had sweet Fanny Adams to do with anything.
So, still a dick then.

Utter nonsense spouted by Indian BJP (Hindu nationalist) politicians, including PM Modi, and thoroughly mocked and slammed by the nation's scientists, as the second link indicates, who find those people a disgrace and embarrassment to the country.
A bit like Nigel Lawson's climate science denial bullsh*t, with added religious fantasy.

We do owe India a lot. The freedom we enjoy today was boughtby the blood of many Indians, who died in their thousands , especially during WW2.and not just against Japanese threats.
Their is a place in London, nor sure where, but it houses the names of many awarded the VC toIndian soldiers. Their sacrifice should never be forgotten.

The freedom India enjoyed soon after WWII ended was bought by the blood of many British troops who prevented the Japanese invading India from Burma.
However, that's another story.

I recently finished "The Rise & Fall of the Third Reich" again.
Some points.
1. The Third Reich was viewed as a European army. Numerous European countries had contributed to it in a Europe dominated by Germany. Sounds a bit like the EU army and now.
2. The plan for the Third Reich was for Eastern Europeans to provide cheap labour. It's interesting how many have little problem with this now.
3. At the end, Hitler wondered if the Indian Legion could save him and Berlin. It was based in Germany at the time.
