Not soon enough.

Peterborough MP Fiona Onasanya ‘did not know’ who was driving when her car was caught speeding

She seems to have been fast tracked. This is from the court exchange.

2011 - got an interest in politics.
2013 - elected as councillor
2015 - deputy leader of council
2017 - stands as MP and elected.

Fast tracked due to gender, race or ability? Has the Peter Principle kicked in?

What does she have and who does she have it on?

I would be extremely interested in when she was first diagnosed with MS.

And why she thinks its a defence.

She's just throwing anything in to the story "I didn't know who was driving" - so why did she tell the police it was the Russian chap ? if she wasn't sure she should have said exactly that.

She knows as well as we do that she's swinging the lead, the difference is she thinks she should be allowed to get away with it.

I think at this point she realises the games up and trying to basically come up with anything to try and attract a bit of sympathy and more importantly a suspended sentence.

I'd assume a suspended sentence will see her struck off from her profession (solicitor).Silly, silly person.

I'll work on the basis though that she will remain as an MP and get reselected and in a few years probably made a Baroness.

However, The maximum sentence that can be imposed for perverting the course of justice is life imprisonment and/or a fine. However, Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) sentencing guidelines recommend a prison sentence for this crime of between four and 36 months.

I have a friend with exactly that diagnosis. Managing very well, though it will get worse.

Not convinced that having already been diagnosed in 2012, that 2017 was really much of a shocker for her. My friend gets this news on a regular basis.

It still doesn't work as a defence.

Her defence was a Russian guy was driving.
He was in Russia.
Her mobiles were in the car.
She said she hasn't used a mobile while driving.
It has been explained the mobiles were sending out a signal to the cell towers not that she was calling on them.
