Unfortunately I think you are yet again right. I want to see a strong constructive opposition in the few years we have left, the country needs it. But I’m afraid we won’t get it.

This could be said of all three main parties at this point in time on the leadership front . As it stands and rather than voting for the best or strongest party for the country it feels more akin to scraping the barrel . Could well see major voter apathy and a real low turnout at the next GE unless new leaders of the parties are found.

“While they seem to give bigots a free pass, Labour subjects anti-racist MPs like Margaret Hodge and Ian Austin to ‘show trial’ disciplinary procedures, without even telling them the exact charges against them, but apparently for daring to criticise Corbyn and Labour’s record on antisemitism.”
Jeremy Corbyn must remember that inaction in the face of racism is complicity

I notice Tom Watson has now been under attack. Rather than dealing with the issues some labour members rather attack their own for questioning the issue. Not very nice.

Tom Harris hasn't been a MP for 8 years and is a red, white & blue Blairite
Ironically he also had to step down as Labour's Internet Adviser for posting the Downfall video with remarks against Scotland's FM at the time, Alex Salmond
He's yesterday's man trying to stay relevant

They might do well.
Back in 2014 a census showed 750,000 Scots living in England.

He's shown the kind of leadership that Corbyn should have shown early on here, which would have nipped this in the bud, with the anti semites ejected from the Labour Party. No surprise that the Corbynista's started a twitter campaign to get rid of Tom Watson.
Corbyn's only safe as long as he keeps the majority of the Labour Party membership on side. The minute that changes, I'd expect to see him try and engineer his successor to take over the leadership and that would be a brutal fight, with a possible party split being a big danger.
Though tbh I don't expect there to be a leadership challenge anytime soon, given an election is a distinct possibility.
All in all, the Liberal Democrats might in the long run benefit from the likely implosion of the status quo occupied by the Tory and Labour Parties presently.
