Scotland would have to pay for the wall from Gretna Green to Berwick-upon-Tweed

Just waiting for @BobbyMac to dispute the figures because he doesn't like how they were originally created. Or because he will claim they aren't produced by the Scottish government (they are).
Yet to see any better figures.
Independence for England would be a big financial benefit to us.

Maybe he wants Ireland to have independence.

I'm all up for anyone to want true independence. Heck I'm even up for anyone to be part of another union and not have true independence. What shouldn't be forgotten though is that the people have a say in it, which they already had recently...

Unfortunately your simplistic analysis is flawed and doesn't look past the binary choice of nearly 5 years ago
The central plank of the Better Together campaign was the ONLY way to retain Scotland's EU membership via the Uk was to vote NO
And then Brexit happened, which changed things dramatically (my English BIL will now change his vote from NO to YES solely on the EU)
Then there's the current Scots Gov's mandate which they where voted in on a "material change for example like Brexit"
All Scottish Parties inc Labour, Lib Dems & Tories voted in the HOC in support of the "Right of Claim"
When the Scottish Gov tried to enact their elected mandate, TM said "now is not the time"
Given the current rhetoric by David Mundell, Ruth Davidson & those vying for TM's job, the line has changed to "no, you're not getting a S30 order"
To give you an idea of the weather vane politik at play, here's Ruth Davidson's damascene conversion (an ardent remainer, who then became a reluctant CU supporter, then a reluctant CU supporter but just for NI, who is now commited to a Brexit that works only for the whole of the UK)
